It has a timeless appearance and a vocally-tailored sound. The dynamic cartridge is shock-mounted to reduce handling vibrations and noise transmitted via your mic stand. By reducing the amount of ambient and off-axis noise picked up, a cardioid polar pattern is used, resulting in higher gain before feedback and reduced stage bleed. The 55SH CARDIOID DYNAMIC STUDIO MICROPHONE has a 50 Hz to 15 kHz frequency response range, with a slight presence increase that peaks at about 6.5 kHz. The majority of mixer inputs, microphone preamps, and portable PA systems can be used with it thanks to its XLR 3-pin output. For easy muting of the mic between talks or performances, an on/off switch is provided. The 5/8″-27 thread swivel mount that is attached can be tilted up to 45 degrees forward and 80 degrees backward. Construction using chrome die-cast metal offers tour-worthy durability.
