Good amount of padding. It looked nice in our vehicles too. It was easy to install. I think the expiration was like 4 years so you could actually use it if you plan to have 2 babies close together, so you would get your moneys worth. My baby is 1 and she’s just now starting to get to big for it. It is a little heavy once your baby starts to gain some weight but again, it’s built well and sturdy so that’s why. You can also buy the stroller and the car seat pops easily into it which is so nice and convenient!
