If you are serious about landmines and use a healthy amount of weight and want to attach to a generic cage that doesn’t have attachments built-in, it’s worth it to look at this kind of landmine pivot. There is a cheaper more numerous variety out there that just has a single knob/bolt to tight it against the cage. I’ve had trouble with those, specifically the Yes4All. The style of this landmine pivot wraps around your cage support and tightens that in with a couple carriage bolts, not some flimsy knob-bolt. Also the plate metal in the base components of this landmine is 2-3 times thicker than the ~$20-$30 variety of landmine pivot you’ll see on Amazon.One major negative! As other’s mentioned, loss of star due to absurdly NO instructions included with a pile of washers, bolts, buts, and having to assemble several parts. Nothing is pre-assembled. They give you a page with some hand-drawings that don’t even show the fastening hardware! You are left with choices where you have to guess what you are supposed to do – “do these two washers go with those two bolts or these two??? does the washer go on this side or that side???”. It’s a total product support FAIL for something that is going to hold a lot of weight and be dangerous if folks don’t assemble it properly! It’s not too many pieces so you can figure it out, but expect to spend a little extra time and don’t tighten things up until you are certain you have it together right. If you are not mechanically inclined to think through something like this, maybe get someone who is to help you out for 15 minutes.
